My Monday continues! Ha :) A little bit of
background for you all....Abigail developed colic almost two months ago and we
came to find that giving her an infant probiotic each morning really seemed to
alleviate her colic! We've found that she still doesn't do very
well digestively if she isn't on her probiotic, so we've continued to
give it to her! After our recent trip to Granbury, we got to the bottom of the
jar of probiotic and needed to get more. None of the health food stores in town
currently have the exact same product in stock, so we decided on a good
alternative. On his way home for lunch, Michael picked it up :) When he got
home and pulled it out of the bag, I gasped. The product he got was identical
to the product one of the health food stores quoted to me over the phone this
morning, but he had purchased it for double what it cost at this
other place! So, as we make plans for him to return it to the original store
and purchase it cheaper at the other store, we pull out sandwhich stuff to make
Michael his lunch. As he pulls things out of the fridge, he just kind of
chuckles....depressingly. Everything seems to have gone "wrong" today
for him, and this fiasco with the probiotic is the cherry on top! Poor guy! He
starts making his sandwich, and I hear him mutter to himself, "praise the
Lord, He is good, and His mercies are everlasting...that's what you're supposed
to do when the pickles are almost gone and there's only one slice of cheese
left, ya know?" and then he looks over to me, and I just gape at him. What
a faithful heart of love for Jesus this man has! I was bowled over by his
humility and humor :)
Yes, even when all the pickles are just about
gone, and the cheese is all used up, and the laundry is getting done but the
dishes are still stacked in the sink and the probiotic we bought was double
what it could have cost and it's going to mean another trip back out to the
store, yes, that is when we are so supposed to praise the Lord because He is
good and His mercies are everlasting :)
Ah.....our
Monday continues onward, and God is being glorified in all "the little
things" this Monday is made of :)
He
is Good!
