"Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD and whose trust is the LORD. For he will be like a tree planted by the stream and will not fear when the heat comes but its leaves will be green and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit." Jeremiah 17:7-8

Ah...Monday....

Mondays. Always the day I am most tempted to mope around and not get anything done. God has been so graciously working in my heart, teaching me how to be a faithful wife and mother by "attacking" my Mondays  with intentionality and purpose! My house does not look like the picture perfect oasis of peace and rest that I would like it to, but that's okay :) It's a house filled with dirty dishes and dirty laundry waiting to be cleaned, a house where Abigail just woke up from her nap about an hour early (sigh) and a  house with tiny raindrops falling on the windows outside, a house where we got the trash out in time (yes!), a house that's serving leftovers for dinner tonight, and a house that God has given me to care for and work in, a place where Michael and Abigail may be greatly blessed or greatly neglected based on my outlook and approach, and Mondays seem to be the day where the weeks productivity level gets determined :) So, for this Monday, I'm  striving to honor the Lord by being industrious, consistent, hardworking, and balanced as I work to whip things into order for the week ahead :) Thankful for the opportunity to have a sweet little home where God gives me full reign to clean and cook and wife and mother all for His glory :)

Have a wonderful Monday today :) Your kitchen sink and living room floor may look "better" or "worse" than mine does right now :)

But this day is a precious gift from the Lord filled with opportunities to please Him as we begin the week :) Join me in seeking to "make it my ambition, at home or absent, to be pleasing to the Lord," (2 Cor. 5:9) regardless of what tasks may be ahead for the week :) Work at your work with gladness and contentment, knowing that the tasks come from the hand of the One who knows what is very best :) And if everything doesn't get done today, that's okay :) Tomorrow is another fresh blessing and opportunity to work for God's glory by taking care of "all the little things." All those little things sure are sweet responsibilities when I remember those who are blessed by my completing them :)

Peace and Joy!

Katie
